Hummel #186 “Sweet Music" TMK 3

This figurine is 5.25" tall it has no cracks, mars, or blemishes but minor crazing (see photo) on the bottom. Master sculptor Reinhold Unger created outlet this piece in 1947 from one of Sister Maria's drawings. The trademark (3 Stylized Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1960 – 1972.
This little boy is playing his cello in the outdoor orchestra, with his hat on his head and his scarf on his neck. By the look on his face, he is into it! This is one of several figurines that make up the Hummel Orchestra!
There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted figure - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines.
A music lovers' masterpiece.
