This one of a kind Alstroemeria pendant was created using a real leaf picked from my garden. A thin layer of reclaimed .999 Fine Silver is made into a paste and painted onto the leaf, then left to dry completely before adding the next coat. This process is repeated until there is enough silver to give the piece a substantial thickness, usually no less than 30 outlet coats. The leaf is then fired in a kiln where the silver fuses together creating solid, Fine Silver. The actual leaves burns away, but not before creating its lasting impression. Finally a ring is added for the bail and fused closed for strength and a patina is added to highlight the veins.

Alstroemeria leaves are unique because they are Resupinate, meaning they grow upside-down on the stems
