Wonderful Old Hubley CLIPPER SHIP Nautical Cast outlet Iron BOOKENDS, Polychrome Paint

Wonderful antique heavy cast iron bookends measuring 6" tall and 2-1/2" deep - they have a three dimensional design against a flat back. Featuring hand painted polychrome decoration of clipper ships with burgundy, red hulls and cream graduated sails against a lovely aqua to blue sky - sea and waves are gold and teal. Incised "283" and "2", believe they are Hubley in design, dating 1920s. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage - paint is in nice condition with typical rubbing and outlet wear. Just a lovely set and a wonderful addition to any collection or display!
