Victorian Mourning Memorial Framed/Baby Picture/Nursery Decor/Antique Child’s Baby outlet Picture/Framed Art/Baby Girl/Satin Lace Crochet/Babies

These Art pieces were popular from the Victorian Era through the 1930s.
They were sometimes called mourning memorials of a child that had passed away.

Usually done as a mixed media collage to look like the baby in their outlet original blanket and/or clothing.

This one has a baby girl laying in her bed/crib. She is dressed in an off white crocheted or knit gown with her knit soft pink blanket covering her and a blue knit blanket under her.
There are tiny off white & soft pink satin bows and lace trim on the blanket and also around her pillow. There are also blue satin bows that look like flowers on your he side of her satin and lace pillow. The pillow has red thread stitched around it.

She has brown with blond and reddish tints of hair on her head. And she has baby blue eyes with soft pink lips and rosy cheeks. The photo is a die cut with her hands crossed in front of her as if she is praying. She has the tiniest beaded ring on one of her fingers.

The background is done in a white with pink and blue floral fabric with tiny green leaves.
There may be few moth holes and it staining in the background fabric.

It's simply adorable and would look beautiful in your home or baby's nursery room!

It is framed inside an antique wooden off white frame with glass front.

This is the original framed artwork and it has not been cleaned as I like to keep these pieces as they were found.

It could be professionally cleaned if you'd prefer and or be reframed.

The frame is chipped in spots and since this is an original from the 1930's or earlier there will be dirt, dents, dings, etc.

The backing on this has the original paper and nails as well. However, it has been redone with newer paper and a wire hanger has been added.

It is meant to be hung horizontally.
