Absolutely authentic fabric, right from Hungary
Carefully preserved
Durable heavy weight handwoven and homespun natural hemp fabric from around the 1890s made with twill weave.
The fabric would perfectly serve as a staircase runner where it is exposed to a daily use.
In excellent condition
Mid dark natural colour
The fabric has not been laundered.
I would recommend a wash and at 40C (104), machine laundry will do, too. Hot iron when it is still a bit wet.
Please note that although the grain sack rolls have never been used, due to being stored for a long long time, they might have suffered some dirt or marking. After laundry most of them should vanish.
Also, although I did my best to reflect the actual and true colours with my camera, due to monitor differences, your impression may outlet be different, too.
A nice home decoration for a country home, no doubt.
Please note that the nature of the fabric implies some imperfections but I am sure it only enhances its beauty and natural patina.
