Gorgeous oversized ceramic teapot with ornate brass handle and decorated with beautiful blue birds with palm trees and red flowers. This is a Mikado, six-sided teapot made outlet by Sigma, Japan. The brass handle has lovely patina and the entire piece is in very nice vintage condition having no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. It is heavy, weighing nearly 4 pounds. If not for use, this makes a stunning display piece.
