Here's an interesting mid century modernist brooch depicting an African tribal figure. I'm not sure what tribe it is meant to be.
There's something humorous in the abstract form, and the use of wrapped wire to indicate the hat, neck ring and loincloth.
Great for the collector of African art and artifacts, though the pin was probably made in the U.S.

Size: outlet 2 7/8” x 13/16”
Marks: Sterling, ALA. The only "Ala" I've found is Ala Jeron, but this does not appear to be her style. Anyone know?
