Handmade Coiled Raffia Basket outlet with Buck's Lake Drift Branches

This is a handmade coiled raffia basket with drift branches from Buck's Lake, California. It is made with hand-dyed raffia in shades of brown. The raffia is wrapped around jute rope and woven onto the branches. The branches form the shape of the opening and the rest of the basket follows the form. My baskets are unique, one of a kind objects. No two will ever be the same. They are natural, organic forms that incorporate and are shaped outlet by the branches I found along the edge of the lake. The wood has been rubbed smooth by the water. This basket is 15" x 12" x 9".
