Vintage Taxco Sterling outlet Silver and Multicolor Glass Stone Clip Earrings - Mexico - Modernist #d258

These beautiful Taxco modernist earrings are comprised of fine sterling silver and glass stones. They are round in shape, three-dimensional and feature multicolor glass cabochons that project out diagonally outlet from each corner. The colors of the cabochons are solid black and semi-translucent red, green and blue. They look very much like onyx, carnelian, chrysoprase and agate. Silver beads fill the spaces between the cabochons and a large silver dome sits in the center of each earring. The silver beneath the beads has been oxidized black, adding dimension and visual interest to these cool earrings. The earrings are finished in a smooth silver on the backs and they close with secure clip back closures. They are bold, chunky and absolutely gorgeous!

The earrings measure about 1 1/8 inches long, 1 1/8 inches wide and weigh 21.1 grams. They are signed and hallmarked "Mex 925 TS-45" on the backs of both of the earrings.

I love the bold modernist design of these captivating earrings! With their multicolor color scheme, they could be worn with most anything. The earrings are in excellent vintage condtion. They are ready to wear or to be gifted right out of the box!
