The Entrance of the Theotokos is a feast of the Mother of God that is celebrated on November 21 of each year. According to the First Gospel of Jacob, the Virgin Mary's parents, Joachim and Anna, being childless, constantly prayed to God to give them a child. Anna became pregnant by the Grace of God and promised to dedicate her daughter to the Lord.
At the age of 3, the Virgin Mary, accompanied by her parents, entered the Temple of Solomon, where she was welcomed by High Priest Zachariah. Mary served the Temple for 12 years and when the time for the Divine Evangelism arrived, she left and engaged Joseph. The Entrance of the Theotokos are celebrated with brilliance in many areas of Greece.

Today is the prelude of God's pleasure and the proclamation of man's salvation. The Virgin is clearly made manifest in the temple of God and foretells Christ to all. Let us outlet also cry out to her with mighty voice, "Hail, fulfillment of the Creator's dispensation."
