Handmade Beaded Beetle Brooch/Pin

This beetle was handmade using glass seed bead weaving techniques. The beetle's head and abdomen were formed by creating peyote stitch bezels around the lapis lazuli cabochons with Miyuki round seed beads and Czech Charlottes. The wings were woven seperately using the brick outlet stitch technique with Miyuki delicas and then attached to the body. The legs and antennae were forged out of 18 gauge gold-filled wire. The pin backing was attached and covered with leather.
