Here's an awesome vintage wood block print or linocut that was created by listed artist Ivan Horyna. It is pencil signed by the artist, dated 1991 titled "Vrby" or "Willows". This piece depicts a riverbank landscape scene with giant willow trees on both sides of the river. There's also a figure fishing out of a small rowboat. The bold color palette features blues, oranges, beiges, and blacks. This piece was done on heavy weight off white paper and is beautiful in person.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Painter and graphic artist Ivan Horyna comes from Martin (b. 1937). Academy of Fine Arts successfully completed in 1962 in Bratislava. His professor was a national artist Vincent Hložník. Horyna does not only graphics, but also oil paintings, mostly landscapes. In the field of graphic production, however, it is masterfully.
