The Windy Day Girl with outlet Robins

outlet It's such a windy day that the Robins take refuge in our girl's long hair.

A hand-drawn and painted porcelain panel, ready for wall hanging, with a keyhole hanger over a recess in the plywood backing, which makes it ‘float' out from the wall.

I draw with sewing needles into the raw porcelain, and combine underglaze stains, decals and onglaze enamels over four firings to make this unique image.

The porcelain is 0.5cm thick, total depth including the wood backing is 1.6cm and it weighs 261g.
