Vintage Porcelain outlet Ceramic Tea Pot by Nan Coffin. A unique handmade porcelain Tea Pot by famed Ceramic Artist Nan Coffin in San Diego, California.
This pot has a barrel shape with a bulbous style spout, an attached up and over ceramic handle with a large mushroom cap style lid. It is glazed in an putty gray high gloss glaze, with the lower section of the pot glazed in a burnt orange almost ombré matte soda fired glaze.
The lovely Tea Pot is quite large it is 7” inches across and 8” inches tall approximately, it has a capacity of 24 fl.oz which is possibly a 3 to 4 cups depending on the style of cup used. It is in wonderful vintage condition and having a somewhat rustic look would look fabulous in a similar style kitchen or living space. This tea pot would be a great addition to any Tea Pot Collector's collection.
The Tea Pot along with other tea pots and ceramic pieces by Nan Coffin was featured in the NCECA show which was held in San Diego in spring 2003. NCECA stands for National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and the annual show is a collaboration and celebration of Ceramic Art Education, both teaching and learning in a Global community.
