With winter comes cold treks outside! This year we had the joy of going snowshoeing with my mother in law. Now, yes this did feel much like taking a walk in the woods in the winter time, but it was still fun! We enjoyed seeing the trees covered in snow and the forest quiet as only a snow covered forest can be. There is a certain stillness in the air when the snow is so deep! We didn't see any animals, though I bet if it was earlier in the morning, like this painting shows, we might have caught sight of some deer or the occasional bird looking for food!
