Mather outlet - Park Ranger. bust of Stephen Mather, 1st Director, US National Parks

Stephen Mather is not a household name....of course neither are most of the culture heroes I've chosen for my collection of busts. He is one of those responsible for the U.S.National Parks. He was their first director, and a friend of several presidents (being a wealthy industrialist at one time). I created him for some members of the National Park Service that were getting married, and found out that there are lots of people that really revere this fellow....along with outlet John Muir, who was his elder friend, a founder of the Sierra Club and who is ALSO one of my busts.
