Wonderful old box from Boot Jack Plug tobacco - Please READ Full Description
Wooden box has hinged lid - inside lid is paper advertising piece reads " Boot Jack Plug tobacco Costliest Because Best "
12 7/8" long x 3 3/4" deep and 2" base to top of the lid.
Two small round metal pieces on lid which and two metal hooks on the base so you can secure the lid.
These were used to display the packets of tobacco in a store.
Be sure to take a good look at all of the pictures, they will give you a good idea of condition.
All Antique items will have some wear as the were preowned and used. Keep that in mind when purchasing.
The wood is aged. There is wear on the paper inside lid. There is a nail where someone either was reattaching the lid or it was a manufacturing mistake. Instead of the nail being in the wood it is showing. Picture no. 4 shows a close up.
Stored in smoke free environment - no unpleasant odor
