Fiddle License Plate Art Customized Lath Wood With outlet Upcycled Vintage Hardware

This whimsical wooden lath fiddle can be custom ordered or I can just surprise you. It would look great hanging by an old wash tub, some wooden spoons and an old hand saw. Music for the eyes only.

This measures 23-1/2 long x 8-1/4” wide. The base is 3/4” thick.

For the base of this fiddle I glued and nailed old wood laths to particle board, then cut it to the shape of an authentic sized fiddle. The color displayed is dark forest green but you can choose what ever color you want from the drop down menu.

I used a Tennessee license plate because so much fiddlin music is played there and I like that the plate has "sounds good to me" printed on it. You can let me choose the license plate or you can tell me what state plate you prefer.

The chin rest is a vintage metal pulley. The bridge is an old hasp. I used half of an old Prince Albert tobacco tin for the sound post. outlet The F holes are cast iron pieces I cut off of an old napkin holder. I couldn't have found better pieces for that, perfect shape.

I used craft wire for the strings. The fingerboard is a piece of lath I cut to shape. I used a clothes pin spring and brad nails for the top nut. The tuning pegs are metal springs I made from wire and I bent an old spoon to use for the scroll.
