Collection of three mid to late century beaded ladies' handbags includes:
1. Crocheted decorative outlet cord sailing themed bag in ecru and melon red. Has two red acrylic round handles, an attached acrylic anchor charm, lined in white and black toile-print fabric; label is Liz Claiborne. Materials are cotton and acrylic; appears to be the most recently made of the three. Condition is new/unused. Measures 15" tall x 14" wide x 4" deep.
2. Off-white beaded bag with acrylic double handle and snap open gator type closure, interior is cream satin with two side pockets. Labelled "Beaded Cordette", made in the USA. Looks to be from the mid to late seventies. Condition is like new/very very gently used. Measures 13" x 12" (including handle) x 3" wide.
3. Pale yellow acrylic bead bag with short handle, fringe, and decorative elements. Zippered closure with beaded zipper pull. cream colored brushed gabardine lining with one side pocket, and a label that reads "Hand Made for Broadway in British Crown Colony Hong Kong". This dates it to at least prior to 1997 but from the styling I would guess it's from the late sixties or early seventies. Measures 14" (including handle and fringe) x 8" across x 1" wide. The Broadway was a department store chain that I remember from back in the day that later was consolidated into Macy's. Condition is near mint.
