Praying Mantis portrait .
This is probably my favourite insect. With their slow , measured movements they are very personable. A terrific subject for sculpture as well, with incredible features. Available in the two color phases outlet this insect appears, green and raw umber.
From my original work in clay, I made a mold in order to create permanent editions. The cast hydrostone pieces are then carefully painted. The process is similar to a fresco technique. No two are exactly alike.

There are hooks on the back so that the sculpture can be hung up like an ordinary picture.
