Picasso Style Two-Headed Abstract outlet Portrait #1, print of original drawing, abstract, contemporary, modern, Picasso-style, mixed- media
outlet This colorful, unique print is from an original artwork by artist, Elizabeth Stempien.
The original artwork was drawn in permanent fine point black marker, and colored in with the best quality colored pencils to ensure vibrant color. This piece was printed on acid free, lightly textured 110 lb. weight paper.
This artwork was inspired by one of my favorite artists, the late, great Pablo Picasso! A true visionary, his abstract portraits of his period, Cubism, demonstrate the introduction of the era of Modernism- artwork that symbolizes free creativity and the beginning of “thinking outside the box.” This was most evident in his abstract portraits from “Woman in a Hat” (1935), and Weeping Woman” (1937), to “Woman in a Yellow Hat” (1961), and “Mujer con Sombrero” (1962).
What a wonderful feeling I get when I create this style of art; thank you Picasso! I hope you enjoy this print as much as I did creating it!
