This is so unique... A Cast Iron Figural Camel Shoeshine Stand mounted on a custom made lid, made to fit an antique round cheese box, all painted in creamy white and neutral beige... Love it! Folk Art Style, all components are authentic and make a great display. The camel is screwed onto the lid and serves as a great handle... Ingenious! The base cheese box is quite large, easily used for it's original intention or this could store or hide-away soooo many things. Measures 16" tall complete. The lid with camel is 8 1/4" high, base box is 8 3/8" high x 11" base diameter. Condition of the camel is solid with no breaks or repairs, there is a splotch of pink paint on one side.. no biggie and the cheese box base is with banded base and nailed construction, there is outlet a difficult to see crack within one edge of the base, however nothing to take away from functionality. Great piece of Figural Cast Iron on a utilitarian container for unique and unexpected Vintage Display.
