"Welcome, To Jurassic - !"
A dramatic revision of a previous print!
As the title implies, this scene from the Jurassic Morrison Formation (~153-million years ago) was designed to mirror the iconic scene from the original Jurassic Park film.
Set in at a watering hole near a large "gallery forest" where seasonal rivers converge on an otherwise fairly arid floodplain from late Jurassic North America. The forests are mostly comprised of gymnosperms from gingkoes to conifers, giant sequoias and an assortment of ferns.
There are a total of 28 individual animals featured in this scene:
- 6 Brachiosaurus altithorax (2 male and 4 females), sporting Jurassic Park/Jurassic World inspired color patterns
- 3 Stegosaurus stenops (1 males and 2 females)
- 10 Dryosaurus sp.
- 3 Rhamphorhynchid Pterosaurs
- 6 Anurognathid Pterosaurs
Each of the individual animals were hand sketched, then scanned into photoshop, where they and their environment were arranged and painted. The background was actually created via Jurassic World Evolution 2's terrain editing features on a sandbox map, where a screenshot was taken and then extensively edited to blend the animals, midground flora and create the reflextions of the various animals on the surface of outlet the water.
The prints measure 14x20 inches in size, with an additional 1 inch border for framing purposes
