Antique French etui with it's 3 needles
A wooden necessaire which separates into 3 pieces:
- a needle or pin box in the end of the handle, with screw-on lid plus 3 assorted needles.
- the main handle can be unscrewed to reveal a sharp metal awl.
- the turned wooden top has an integrated bobbin for 4 spools of thread.

Handcrafted wood, turned on a hand lathe, this tactile piece has developed a silky smooth patina.
Perfect for vintage needlework or sewing tool collectors.

There are 2 tiny splits in the side of the wooden screw-lid for the needle compartment.
The splits do not affect the objects utility.
The damage can be seen in the final photograph of my series of pictures.
