Celtic Tree of Life Necklace, Handmade Lampwork Beads, Raku Beads, Turquoise, outlet Copper Beads and Chain, Bronze, Unique Gift Women, OOAK

This piece is from the "ELEMENTS COLLECTION", a series of themed artisan jewelry pieces that have been inspired by things in our natural world: ocean, volcano, the cosmos, whales, DNA, just to name a few. Each piece will combine a metal (copper or sterling silver) "sculpture" or metal pieces representative of the theme, with a unique lampwork glass centrepiece and coordinating beads (either glass, gemstone, or combination of both). These pieces are meant to be statement necklaces that can be worn for any occasion. They will be created using polished and hammered copper or sterling silver and focal lampwork glass created by some of the most talented glass/lampwork artists from around the world. Each piece will be one-of-a-kind!

This piece is titled "Celtic Tree of Life"! The glass pendant and the raku beads are symbolic of the of the natural world and the circle of life. The glass centrepiece outlet was created by Molly Cooley, a glass artist from Michigan. It has an old tree with overlapping and twisted branches in a Celtic style.

The front of the necklace is finished with six amazing handmade raku lampwork glass beads that echo the "natural" feel of the centrepiece. There are also twelve 4mm natural turquoise beads and four twelve copper daisy beads. Above the pendant is also another raku bead. Also dangling from the centre TOL pendant are four wire wrapped 4mm turquoise beads. The back of the necklace is a 5mm copper rollo chain with a large lobster clasp (see photo #9). If you prefer, an extender chain (to make the necklace length adjustable) can be added or a copper toggle clasp can be added instead. When you order this necklace, you can determine what length you would like it to be, and what style of clasp you would like. We will customize it to your specifications.

HEALING PROPERTIES:

Turquoise is a powerful healing stone. North American native people believed that it was a magic stone that provided protection against harm. It has been found in ancient Egyptian and Greek tombs, and was used in the Middle Ages to protect horse and rider on long journeys. It has been named one of the twelve fundamental stones in naturopathic healing. Turquoise is said to speed recovery after illness and reduce inflammation from a wound. Psychologically, turquoise lifts depression and promotes self-confidence.
