For sale is a wonderful, natural curiosity, a pearlized shell with a mabe pearl on the inside, mounted inside a mother of pearl or mother-of-pearl or MOP frame. This item would look great in a bathroom, or would complement a Victorian or Edwardian steam punk style collection of natural objects or curiosities.

This item seems to have come from Thailand, and we think it was made sometime in the mid 20th C, midcentury outlet, mid-century. Possibly, it was originally purchased in the 1950s.

It's in excellent condition- it is study, and well constructed. It's a larger piece at about 11" high by 9" across, and weighing 2.5 lbs, unboxed.
