This is an excellent idea for a boy's keepsake box, it is sophisticated enough for him to grow up with. This one was painted in shades of slate blue to add interest. The family crest was painted on the top of the box in the family colors, the sides of the box were decorated with a masculine iron scrollwork. The inside of the box has the child's birth statistics and a personal message. I love the idea of painting family crests on these keepsake boxes, I think it makes it such a personal gift.

This wooden box is 9 1/2" long, 5 1/2" wide and 5" high the corners are rounded it is a lovely oval shaped box with a parallel straight edge in the middle
