Little Town, by Bertha and Elmer Hader, 1941, approx. 40 pages, illustrations on every page, 20-25% in color. Condition fair - binding tight, pages clean although more than one have rips on them, cover has pretty even wear except that the spine, well, you can see for yourself.

Easy to fall in love with this artwork. Very stylized, beautiful, even though it perpetuates that great American myth of the time that the USA is populated only by white, middle class folks. Thank goodness we have moved on beyond this . . . we . . . have . . . moved . . . on . . . yes???Though the artwork portrays something unrealistic and detrimental to having an honest view of this great nation, I love it just the same. I am sure you outlet do, too.
