+++++ althea's pottery is a one-woman operation. every aspect of the process is performed by me – designing, making, photographing, marketing, packing, shipping, etc. i do not use plaster molds, so each piece is individually made by hand on the potter's wheel or handbuilt, bearing witness to the vitality and spontaneity of the human touch. i happily devote a lot of time and attention to a refined finish because i believe fine craftsmanship enhances the beauty and functionality of a form. for these reasons and more, i love being a potter - it's my job and my passion. so when you buy my pottery, not only do i get to keep this job, but you'll experience (or gift to someone) the tangible joy of using handmade pottery borne of passion. how timeless and priceless is that...............thank you
