outlet This pitcher and four mug set has a Dutch/Netherlands theme. It was probably made in Japan in the 1930s, although it has no markings or sticker to indicate.
The set is made to serve cold beverages, with a nice ice lip on the pitcher. The pitcher has a 60 ounce capacity, (one gallon plus one pint). The cups will comfortably hold a bit over 8 fluid ounces.
This set has no chips, cracks or crazing. The hand painted scenes have a bit of wear to their paint. Please see photos. I don't think that the mugs were used much, but there is quite a bit of wear to the gold on the handle and rim of the pitcher.
The lower portion, (below the painted scenery) of the pieces is a very pale yellow. The scenery is a bit brighter than shown in the photos. My lighting is washing the colors out slightly.
