The cyanotype is a photographic process by which a Prussian blue monochrome print is obtained. This technique, developed in 1842, uses a photosensitive solution that reacts to exposure to sunlight. Plants shielding uv rays, thus leaving their imprints on the fabric. The plants I use are harvested, dried and pressed by me, over the seasons
Each cyanotype print is unique, not reproducible identically, because the weather, weather conditions or the distribution of the photosensitive solution can affect shades of blue, imperfections, making all the charm of this artisanal printing technique. Avoid exposing your cyanotype to direct sunlight, blue could lose its intensity outlet. But if this happens, know that the cyanotype has a certain propensity to regenerate, it will be enough to store it in the dark for a few days, so that it regains all the intensity of its blue. The colors you see on your screen may differ slightly from reality.
