This is a very beautiful book of old stories derived from mostly Norse and Scottish Lore but also includes some of the German Grimms tales as well. A beautiful edition that has been very well preserved for well over 94 years. These are stories of magic, giants, fairies, and enchantments of all kinds. They don't make books like these anymore, and I don't think they ever will. A stunning book that includes some very well-executed works of art, many in color and many in black and white. As stated, this is a real 1st edition 1dt printing and not a later reissue of any kind. I have owned a few of these books, but I have never found another with this particular cover, needless to say, it's a hard-to-come-by edition. I would snag this one before it's gone.
Initially released in a set of "8," this being the 3rd volume in the series. I have seen all of them, outlet and this particular issue contains my absolute favorite tales and works of art.
